The Philosophy Behind the Establishment

Taheri Peace Organization was founded with a global mission to restore human rights, promote sustainable peace, protect the environment, and enhance human dignity and honor.

The organization was founded by me, Mohammad Ali Taheri, as a victim of human rights violation and the subject of Iran’s most controversial and unlawful legal case. It was established on March 21st, 2021, in response to the blatant violation of human rights in Iran, after I was liberated from the grip of the executioners of the Islamic Republic of Iran, following nearly a decade of imprisonment and various forms of confrontation with security agents.

Among the key aspects of this case of human rights violation are my arrest and prolonged detention in solitary confinement, numerous violations of human rights, unjust judicial rulings that were significantly inconsistent with international standards. I spent almost a decade behind bars in security detention centers, I endured psychological and physical pressures at the hands of interrogators and torturers, I was subjected to seventeen mock executions, and received two death sentences over the course of eight and a half years (both of which were eventually overturned by the Supreme Court), I went on seventeen hunger strikes in protest of the issued verdicts, extensive unlawful actions, and obstruction of justice by security agencies throughout the judicial process. All of which are clear violations of fundamental human rights principles (as specified in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights).
These experiences motivated the establishment of an organization through which human rights demands could be pursued. Therefore, I founded Taheri Peace Organization, both to raise awareness on this matter and to introduce to the global community the intellectual doctrine I had named and preliminarily outlined several decades ago. The organization is also officially and legally registered in Canada as a non-governmental and Not-for-Profit entity under registration number 1704367-8.

This intellectual doctrine, titled ‘Interuniversalism,’ explores humanity’s place in the universe and seeks to restore human dignity, honor, and identity. I have long believed that humanity is heading toward modern slavery, in which individuals lose their identity and become enslaved by a robotic existence, forced to obey an enormous computer system without question, and in this way, they will lose all their identity, dignity, and honor.

As the founder of ‘Taheri Peace Organization,’ I believe that true peace can only be achieved when freedom of thought and expression, equality, and human dignity are respected by all and when those in power abandon political enslavement, acknowledge the rights of the people in practice, and allow nations to take ownership of their national wealth.

In this context, ‘Novel Human Rights’ stands as a key objective of this organization, emphasizing fundamental human rights—particularly the avoidance of all forms of slavery, including traditional, political, modern slavery, etc. Through this approach, the organization aims to define—and ultimately achieve—comprehensive freedom for humanity. However, this goal can only be realized when humanity, on a broad and collective scale, attains a profound perception of the concept of ‘peace’.

In the doctrine of Taheri Peace Organization, humanity is regarded as a unique and unparalleled being, and the Earth as an exceptional planet unlike any other in the cosmos. Therefore, raising awareness to support both humanity and the Earth is among the organization’s top priorities.

Based on the perspective of ‘Interuniversalism,’ Taheri Peace Organization asserts that in order to save the Earth and facilitate life on this terrestrial planet, individuals must elevate their insight and regard their home as extending beyond their city, country, or continent—even to the scale of ‘the entire universe.

According to this thinking, humanity resides on a planet (Earth) that belongs to all people. If we consider this exceptional planet as a massive ship, any damage to it would lead to the sinking of all its passengers.

Such a view helps human beings recognize their place in the universe, realize their dignity and decorum, and become aware of the profound mission that defines their responsibilities—as a ‘constituent’ in relation to the ‘Whole.’

Such an individual not only refrains from violating the personal boundaries of others on the basis of ethnicity, nationality, race, or beliefs, but also honors the rights of all humans and living beings—respecting the environment and wildlife—and considering themselves as part of a uni-existence.

To conclude, it should be noted that the Earth belongs to everyone, including future generations, and they too have the right to inherit this unique planet in a healthy and sustainable state. Taheri Peace Organization believes that achieving this goal requires liberation from ignorance and lack of knowledge.

The threat to peace is the result of ignorance and the autocracy of regressive groups who— while appearing modern—remain trapped in the darkness of the past. Moreover, those who use oppression as a tool to plunder the wealth of nations and corrupt the human mind with evil and decay, are the greatest obstacle to peace and progress of humanity. Therefore, the sole objective of this organization is to raise awareness among people, so they can walk the path of peace and justice with proper understanding.
