Taheri Peace Organization, relying on the doctrine of ‘Interuniversalism’ and the universe-citizenship viewpoint, believes that in order to promote global peace, humankind must elevate their perspective and no longer regard their home as limited to just a city or a country. They reside on the Earth that belongs to all. If it is endangered, no matter which land they belong, everyone will be affected. In this regard, one of the core missions of Taheri Peace Organization is to protect the environment and raise awareness about environmental crises.

With the aim of enhancing public awareness and improving the human-nature relationship, this organization has established a platform that enables volunteers to form environmental groups and foster a culture of respect and responsibility toward nature. By taking part in initiatives like environmental cleanups and tree planting, they also take on a vital role in protecting the Earth and bringing life back to it. Those interested can also contribute to fulfilling this vital mission by joining Taheri Peace Organization’s supporters’ club.

According to Taheri Peace Organization, preserving and restoring the environment is not only a human duty but also a practical act of worship in service to existence. According to the Interuniversalism doctrine, nature is part of the divine manifestations and an inseparable part of the Uni-body of existence. Unless an individual truly understands their place in the order of creation and their role in interacting with themselves, family, society, and the world, it is unreasonable to expect behavior worthy of their status as the noblest of creatures.

Accordingly, Taheri Peace Advocates are volunteers committed to the organization’s core principles, rooted in the concept of Interuniversalism, and actively engaged in efforts to protect the environment. By committing to the disciplinary regulations and aiming to enhance the quality of life for both humanity and nature, those interested can participate as Taheri Peace Advocates in this noble human and global mission.

Relying on its core principles, Taheri Peace Organization strives to raise awareness and instill an environmental culture. The goal is to create an atmosphere, where every individual, no matter where they are in the world, feel responsible for protecting this irreplaceable planet. The Earth is our shared home, and harming it means harming all who live on it. It should be remembered that the nature we are blessed with is unique and unparalleled throughout the cosmos. Nowhere among the billions of planets in this vast cosmos can a planet like ours be found—nor can such a nature ever be repeated. Even in all the majestic cosmos, a handful of soil like the one on this globe cannot be found.

Our Earth is the result of billions of years of relentless and intelligent cosmic motion—an unparalleled masterpiece that, by embracing life, gave rise to an exceptional being called the human. A being who, beyond mere speech, possesses capacities such as love, joy, creativity, wonder, divine knowledge, kindness, self-sacrifice, reason, philosophy, identity, meaning, ethics, science, and leadership. A trait that no other creature in the cosmos has, making it truly worthy of being called ‘the most honored of beings.

Today, we strive to see ourselves and nature through this perspective: what lies before our eyes is a unique masterpiece in all of existence. An unparalleled blessing that will be lost if neglected. Therefore, we strive to take steps toward its protection with a responsible and respectful outlook. We should consider soil, water, air, and all their manifestations as sacred and avoid any form of destruction and pollution. According to Taheri Peace Organization, the Earth is the shared heritage of all generations, and achieving global peace and preserving human dignity is impossible without peace with nature and reconciliation with the Earth.

Biodiversity

Whatever we look at has a name, and every name belongs to God, for everything is a manifestation of God

May 22nd has been designated by the United Nations as the International Day for Biological Diversity (IDB) to promote awareness and support for environmental issues concerning living species. Each year, the Secretariat of the Convention on Biological Diversity announces a theme for this occasion. The theme for 2022 was:

Building a Shared Future for All Life.

While commemorating this important day, Taheri Peace Organization hopes that the selected slogans—centered around the golden triangle of human rights, environmental issues, and peace—will go beyond mere words and be genuinely acted upon in service of preserving our shared future.
Such transformation will only be possible if humanity fundamentally reconsiders its perspective on existence, by:

  • Learning to walk on this earthly planet with reverence.
  • Recognizing that from the tiniest particle to the vastest celestial bodies, all are Divine manifestations.
  • Understanding that not only humans, but also minerals, plants, and animals possess their own distinct rights.
  • Taheri Peace Organization sincerely hopes that all individuals, especially those working in related fields, and in particular the Convention on Biological Diversity, will come to recognize the importance of preserving biodiversity at every level (genetic, species, and ecosystem).
With an inner and insightful perspective, may they perceive this understanding that:
“Existence, though diverse in appearance across various levels, possesses a comprehensive unity, and any harm to one part is harm to the entire being.”

Water Conservation

Water is a life-sustaining element for all living beings on Earth. Some organisms live in it, while others rely on it for drinking. Plants, animals, and humans all require relatively pure water to survive. Water pollution typically refers to the process by which the quality of water is altered due to diverse human activities. They include producing food, securing water, building shelter, enabling transportation, and expanding industrial output. These activities lead to an increase in human and industrial waste, which in turn contributes to environmental pollution. Access to clean water and a healthy environment is a fundamental right of all humans and living beings on Earth. Ensuring these rights is the responsibility of governments through the protection and preservation of environmental resources. However, evidence shows that over time, the issue of environmental rights for living beings has been increasingly neglected. Today, environmental and human rights advocates must use all available means to curb the unchecked pollution of water resources and bring polluters to account—placing this urgent matter at the center of international peace and justice efforts.
History has shown that underdeveloped societies have consistently borne the brunt of environmental shortcomings due to poor management and have been deprived of fair access to natural resources. Research now reveals that pollution of surface waters and underground aquifers—primarily caused by the infiltration of industrial and human wastewater—has become one of the most pressing global crises. The provision of clean water is rapidly emerging as a major global challenge. As one of the most vital and fundamental elements of life, water must be protected with equal urgency, making the prevention of water pollution a critical global priority.

Soil Conservation

Soil forms the foundation for the survival of millions of humans and other living beings, playing a vital role in sustaining their food supply. From a global perspective, soil is recognized as the third major component of the environment. Statistics show that one-third of the world’s soils have already been degraded due to pollution. Scientifically, any alteration in soil properties that renders it unusable is considered soil pollution. While soil possesses a significant capacity to filter and mitigate the harmful effects of pollutants, this ability is limited. Most contaminants arising from human activities—such as unsustainable agriculture, industrial and mining operations, improper disposal of municipal and industrial waste, and other incompatible practices—pose a serious threat to soil’s natural purification capacity, potentially causing severe damage to its healthy structure and the environment.
Pollutants enter the soil through various pathways, one of the main ones being the excessive use of fertilizers and chemical pesticides to control pests in agricultural fields. Organic waste—whether domestic, industrial, or rural—and the accumulation of heavy metals in the soil are other significant sources of contamination. Additionally, polluted surface water runoff and airborne suspended particles contribute to soil pollution. Soil pollution is an invisible reality whose threat is felt across the globe, influencing even the water we drink and the air we breathe. Soil contamination and degradation have a profound impact on human food security.
Given the limited resources of soil and groundwater, this issue stands as one of the world’s most critical environmental challenges. Without proper purification, pollutants remain undecomposed and gradually seep deeper into the soil, contaminating groundwater aquifers. Consequently, ecosystems lose part of their accumulated capital, inherited from the past. In this regard, soil degradation — the reduction of soil quality due to human factors — undoubtedly requires significant financial investment and time to restore. In fact, humanity may never be able to fully repair this damage or return the soil to its former state. Access to a healthy environment is a fundamental right for everyone worldwide, and this right should not be denied by violating the procedural environmental rights that enable people to participate. Therefore, securing these rights necessitates transparent and just systems that uphold the ‘principle of participation’ as a cornerstone of their administrative and governance frameworks. These systems must then initiate a peaceful approach toward ensuring the very survival of soil. Simply put, “caring for planet Earth begins with preserving its soil.”

Air Conservation

Air is a vital and essential element for human survival. While it is abundant and accessible on Earth’s surface, it contains a significant amount of impurities. Air pollution stands as one of the greatest environmental problems worldwide, posing a significant threat to the health of all living beings. Solid, liquid, or gaseous substances released into the air—whether from natural sources or as a result of human activities—damage human health, animals, plants, and the balance of entire ecosystems. Over the past few decades, environmental issues have become global in scope, bringing societies major challenges like excessive and wasteful energy use, the destruction of natural resources, and the pollution of water, air, and soil.
The scientific definition of environmental pollution is as follows: any change in the characteristics of various environmental components that makes their previous use impossible and, directly or indirectly, endangers the interests and lives of living beings. With the growing population and rapid industrialization of many cities, pollution has emerged as one of the biggest environmental challenges. Today, the influx of Fine dust particles into urban environments is recognized as a major threat to the health of humans and all living beings. The World Health Organization has named indoor air pollution the greatest environmental health risk worldwide.
The gradual shrinking of the world, along with rising global population and increasing interactions, has brought common issues to the forefront and intertwined the destinies of contemporary human. This shift has diminished the individual, local, and national concerns in favor of collective and global challenges, directing humanity’s attention towards evident universal threats. To address the dangers that pollutants pose to our environment, we need a plan rooted in shared global interests. This plan must facilitate sustainable management across all environmental, social, economic, and cultural dimensions. Such an ambitious goal is achievable only through comprehensive unity, fostering the development of global peace.
Taheri Peace Organization invites all international environmental institutions and organizations to use their utmost efforts to raise awareness and knowledge among nations. Their goal is to foster the participation of all people in preserving the health of water, soil, and air—these invaluable elements of existence. Through a cosmopolitan approach (Interuniversalism,) the aim is for environmental protection to flourish within a peaceful atmosphere.
